It started on the street - in conversation with Dale Muffett CEO of Disabled Sailors Association (well very soon)

" So I was in a coma for 17 days and then was in hospital for two and a half months..."

" I'm now an elite wheelchair racer and... competed as an elite wheelchair racer in London Marathon this year"

"The thing that really hit me over the years was the number of amazing and talented people who, at a really young age, were challenging themselves to approach strangers, tell stories, engage people, and turn them eventually into donors"

Dale Muffett has recently announced his new role as the CEO of the Disabled Sailors Association. He has had a meteoric rise in the sector after a traumatic accident changed the course of his career. I really enjoyed my conversation with Dale, tracing his career in face to face fundraising, his life changing experience and the testament of his strength of character. Dale has managed to rebound so quickly and continue to be a huge force in the sector and a really nice human being.
