It started on the street - in conversation with Graham Roe Director of Marketing, Communications and Fundraising at Special Olympics Ireland

"But I do remember I signed someone up as crazy as this sounds, I signed someone up on my very first conversation. And when I say I signed someone up, they signed themselves up. "

"It teaches you genuine humility. It gets you out from behind the desk where you realise it's a privilege, but get out there and press the flesh and inspire."

" The career I've had, the life that I have now largely has been gifted to me from fundraising. "

I had a lovely conversation with Graham Roe, the Director of Marketing, Communications and Fundraising at Special Olympics Ireland. Graham has a rich experience with many big name charities in the charity sector. He started back in the day with Amnesty and has gone on to have a fantastic and very successful career. I could feel the warmth of his personality that would have made him such a success face to face and of course contributes to his success today.
